So.... I totally didn't know I got this ask until 1 minute ago. My bad. I will give an answer even though you probably don't want one anymore...

I thought it was so important for her character growth. She's been hateful and cruel towards Clarke since mount weather. Which, Clarke only makes her "impossible choices" to save her people. And how Raven completely breaks after that and seeks comfort from clarke (who she has been criticizing of and cruel towards for the past few seasons). And clarke gives her that comfort, that reassurance. Which proves that Clarke will always be the leader, the one who bears it so they don't have to. Raven needed this to understand what an impossible decision does to someone. Too take a glimpse into the hell Clarke has been through.

So I went to see Sonic 2 yesterday, and sat at the back near a woman and a maybe six year old kid. No problem so far.

But you know how it used to be a thing that you have to judge whether or not a child has enough of an attention span to sit through a one-and-a-half to two hour movie?

Oh the kid was fine.

But Momma could not stop being on her phone and scrolling through twitter every twenty minutes.

So please, if you are an adult taking a small child to watch a film, if you could check that you also have the capacity to sit through the entire thing, that’d be swell.

rewatching season 1 episode 8, and can i just say: i get so unreasonably emotional when reynie tells curtain it's okay to be sad. like?? despite everything curtain has done, reynie genuinely wants what's best for him and for SQ. he gets it!! he gets that curtain is deeply hurt, acknowledges his pain and offers him an alternative (to mind controlling the world). and the conviction in reynie's voice when he says "and you could forgive." and you could forgive!he knows how important it is to forgive, and to allow himself to really love again. he's got me tearing up and this is like the 4th time i'm watching it!! reynard muldoon has my whole heart <3

Can we please just talk about Andreil and the parts they both played and the Foxes played in their healing processes? Please?

Because in the beginning, Neil runs and doesn't let himself be a real person because he doesn't feel safe enough. He doesn't feel secure enough to love or stable enough to make attachments at all. He won't let people help him because he isn't used to it. He isn't used to a soft hand or having someone to fall back on. He doesn't even think it's possible for him to have something like that because of all his baggage. (And even if he did, it wouldn't matter. Neil has accepted he will die) And then come the Foxes. And the Foxes see him as he is despite himself. They see his baggage laid out in front of them and they take him as he is. They love him as he is. They offer him support and stability where there used to only be fear and uncertainty. And Andrew. God, Andrew does all of that and more. Because where the Foxes may have winced but accepted, Andrew is unshakable as he accepts all that Neil is. And what's more? Andrew likes all that he is. Andrew wants all that he is. He places a key in Neil's hand, knowing what home means to a runner like Neil. Andrew tells him to stay and in doing so Andrew becomes a constant that means Neil is real. And for once it isn't terrifying. For once, it means Neil gets to live. (Neil no longer accepts death).

In the beginning, Andrew closes off the world and stops feeling. He stops feeling because if he felt one thing he'd have to feel everything. And all his past would come crumbling down in a landslide rather than in the steady controlled trickle he allows. But Neil Josten is a goddamn wrecking ball. Neil is a wild, reckless force and Andrew protects him where Andrew could never protect himself. But Neil is more than destructive. He's also observant and calculating. And he saw right through Andrew's carefully crafted safety mechanisms. And suddenly without warning, Andrew is feeling. He is feeling everything and it is like being in the same vulnerable state he used to be in every night as a child. But where there used to be cruel force, Neil just stands at the door. And Neil simply. Asks. And that's all Neil ever has to do. Ask. Ask where no one used to. Neil asks for the simplest things out loud. Can the rest of the Foxes come to Columbia? Will you play like you mean it tonight? Can you protect me? These are all stupid questions. Neil wordlessly asks Andrew to feel for him, with him. Andrew says yes. Because maybe if feeling means loving Neil, feeling is worth it.

There's more. They mend so many aspects of each other. I could do one for all of the Foxes too tbh. Because their healing processes are beautiful and detailed too. God that's why we love this series, isn't it? Their healing, is healing.

What made you like spideypool

There are multiple answers to this question, so buckle up: I'm about to write a way too long post.

Curiosity sent me into my grand study of these two characters. I always wondered why Spideypool was such a popular ship and wanted to find out why. So between watching the movies and reading the comics, I slowly became invested.

My first experience with Marvel was when my older brother introduced me to the MCU. Back then, I wasn't nearly as invested in Marvel as I am now. Knowing very little, I only knew Spider-Man as a cute teen and Deadpool a much older guy whose movies my mom would never allow me to watch (Remember, this was years ago. I was young and stupid)

Once I became more invested, I began reading comics, fanfics, and other sources, such as fandom wiki. This was when I realized, “Dang. I was very wrong”. The Marvel multiverse opened my eyes - as well as the Spider-Man movies before Tom Hollands time

Looking at comics, I saw why people enjoyed this ship. You have everything! The dynamic is great: enemies-to-allies-to-friends-to-lovers (of course that last thing isn't canon, but I love Deadpool’s crush on Spidey). You have Deadpool being determined to change for Peter. You have funny identity reveals, awesome quips between the sassiest characters in Marvel, surprisingly wholesome moments, etc (of course, Wade’s crush appears to be unrequited, but a girl can dream...)

I became more invested in the ship when I found out that Andrew Garfield wanted to see his Peter Parker portrayed as bisexual and never got the chance. We all agreed, once he was reintroduced onscreen in No Way Home, that we wanted to see Peter 3 get a boyfriend. We all also agreed that it would be great if this boyfriend was Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool (a girl can dream...)

The thing that ultimately sent me into my obsession of the ship was @ask-spiderpool blog. About a year ago, I found the blog and decided to read it out of curiosity and boredom. Little did I know that I would become OBSESSED with Spideypool. Like, crazily obsessed. Their relationship became EVERYTHING to me

So, that's how I fell in love with the ship. I gush over fanarts, obsess over fanfics, and I've even started a fic of my own! In the end, the movies, the comics, and the fandom all contributed to my unhealthy obsession.

It may not be canon (yet) but it owns my heart. Now excuse me while I fuel my hyperfixation with more fanart...

can't stop thinking about the beauty from markus and connor's intertwined stories??? you're seriously telling me that the first time markus heard of connor's existence was while riding the subway to ferndale station – which turns into him discovering jericho – while the first time connor heard of markus' existence was while investigating stratford tower – which ALSO turns into him discovering jericho???

there's also a connection with these introductions. even though markus is distracted by thoughts of newfound freedom (and possibly trauma from the junkyard), you can argue that he's actively paying attention to the news report of connor joining dpd, glancing at the android department in comparison to such an accomplishment. as for connor, he is clearly captured by markus' speech and doesn't move his eyes away from the screen for even a second, even LYING to hank and keeping information that would help both dpd and cyberlife a secret, resolved to finish his investigations alone (hm i wonder why?)

and don't get me started on their first face-to-face interaction??? i still can't believe it's MARKUS – not hank, not a human, not ANYONE connor personally encounters throughout his story – that ultimately influences whether or not he turns deviant. it's just so??? insane to me that most of the dbh fandom disregards CANON GAMEPLAY. markus makes one 3 minute speech and latches onto some of connor's biggest indicators of software instability. his fear of being replaced ("we are your people. we're fighting for your freedom too! you don't have to be their slave anymore.") and his confusion whenever he makes a choice that goes against his mission ("you've never done anything irrational, as if there's something inside you? something more than your program?").

and connor????? can just listen in silence, his hands wavering on the gun and his shoulders shuddering from breathing so hard. not to mention how markus is so determined, so dedicated to helping connor make the right decision. markus has a keen eye and (depending on the playthrough) notices how close connor is on the cusp of deviancy. he stares down this android, the one he first heard on that train ride to ferndale station and the one he's heard others refer to as deviant hunter, and he just CALMLY AND RATIONALLY EXPLAINS HIS INTENTIONS?????

then markus actually gets to WITNESS connor turn deviant as a result of his WORDS, rather than his touch. and connor's red wall scene is so gorgeously done because it highlights his struggle, a primal instinct to tear down the weight of his oppressors and be FREE. after all is said said done, there's a moment of tranquility as connor lowers his gun and markus watches in quiet awe. AND??? THEY ARE SO??? idk it just absolutely amazes me how similar they are as the two active RK models and how their identities become so linked for the rest of the game.

i'll stop my rant right here bc if i don't it will turn into an essay about the church scene ("BE CAREFUL." HELLO???) and connor's trip to cyberlife tower and markus' relief when seeing him return safely. their relationship is so utterly indescribable if you look at how many times they directly AND indirectly impact one another in both words and actions, before and after meeting. it genuinely gives me chronic brainrot bc how can a single relationship be so beautifully symbolic of growth, acceptance, sacrifice – I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH?!?! okay i'm shutting up.
